Kim has worked in property related roles since gaining her Commerce degree majoring in Valuation and Property Management from Lincoln University in 1990. After leaving University she gained immediate employment as a valuer and worked in Taranaki, the West Coast and the Wairarapa to gain Registration as a Valuer in 1993.
After spending time travelling Kim returned to her hometown of Christchurch and was offered a position as a Subdivision Planner at council. Her family background in land development and her interest in the Resource Management Act 1991 encouraged her to accept. She worked for 20 years as a planning consultant both within local council and local consultancies until she set up as a consultant on her own in 2016.
In 2019 the opportunity to return to valuation part time presented itself so Kim works part time as a valuer whilst continuing to assist her existing clients requiring planning applications. Her planning background is an asset for her when working as a valuer.
Kim is also working on a family land development project and enjoys keeping fit, travel and spending time with family and friends.
